After spending four amazing days at the Conrad Maldives, we headed back to Singapore for the last night of our honeymoon. We had already spent two nights at the InterContinental Singapore prior to heading the Maldives, but decided to check out the Conrad Singapore for our last night. As Diamond members, we were excited about the complimentary breakfast and executive lounge access. Here’s my review of the Conrad Centennial Singapore.
Booking the Conrad Singapore with Points
The Conrad Singapore is bookable with Hilton Honors points for about 58,000 points per night. The rate tends to vary a lot so keep checking to see if it decreases. We booked a Deluxe King room for 49,000 points, and when I went to look a few months later, the price had increased.
Conrad Singapore Location
The Conrad Singapore is located downtown near the Suntec City Mall/Suntec Convention Centre complex. It’s close to the Marina District and also walkable to areas like Kampong Glam. It’s a five-minute walk from the Esplanade MRT station.
Dining and Amenities
The Conrad Singapore has two main restaurants onsite: Golden Peony, which serves dim sum and other Cantonese cuisines, and Oscar’s, a buffet and a la carte restaurant that’s open 24 hours a day. As Diamond members, we got to have breakfast at Oscar’s free of charge. The buffet had everything you could imagine. It’s no wonder it won the Best Buffet award in Wine&Dine Singapore’s Top Restaurants Guide for 2017/2018. The Conrad Singapore also has a casual, grab-and-go restaurant called the Terrace which serves sandwiches, coffee, and pastries. Last but not least is the Lobby Lounge which serves lunch and afternoon tea.
Other amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness center, and the Conrad Spa. There is also a very nice Executive Lounge that serves afternoon tea and happy hour snacks. Breakfast is also available in the lounge if you choose to dine there instead of Oscar’s. The staff at the lounge were extremely accommodating. Our check out time was 4pm, but they were kind enough to let us hang out in the lounge until 8pm.
Lobby
The lobby was massive with a two-story atrium and grand staircase. Since we were there in December, the lobby was decked out in Christmas decorations. We were checked in quickly and offered a room on a higher floor. Unfortunately, there were no suites available for upgrade.

Conrad Singapore Deluxe King
The room was a decent size with modern finishings. There was plenty of seating thanks to the bench along the window. I was surprised that we didn’t receive any welcome amenity. I was especially surprised since I had let them know we were celebrating our honeymoon during our stay.

The bed was comfortable and came with the signature Conrad bear.

While the room was big, it felt a bit crowded with all of the furniture. Also, the TV was far away from the bed.

The bathroom was a good size with Jack and Jill sinks, a bathtub, and a shower stall.

It’s always nice to have two sinks and a good amount of counter space. The toiletries were from Shanghai Tang.

The shower was big with an adjustable shower head.

Near the front of the room was the Nespresso coffee station, electric kettle, and minibar.

There was also a closet with a safe and four drawers.

On the other side of the closet were the bathrobes, slippers, and a place to hang clothing.

Final Thoughts
Our stay at the Conrad Singapore was nice especially thanks to the breakfast at Oscar’s and the food and drink in the Executive Lounge. The service in the lounge was great but was mediocre elsewhere. I was surprised by the lack of English that some of the front desk staff spoke. We called down at one point to get a toiletry item sent up to our room and were told it would be delivered shortly. After 30 minutes we called back and were told that it was an item we would have to purchase in their gift shop. Overall, the location of the hotel was good. I would recommend staying here if you are Diamond members since the breakfast and lounge are what made this a worthwhile place to stay.
